These Community Guidelines explain the rules for using the community areas of The Secrets of Decoupage App, including posts, project galleries, comments, groups, challenges, profiles, messages, reports and any other user-generated content features operated by ARAMEDU LTD.
Users who do not agree to these Guidelines must not use the community features of the App.
1. Status of these Guidelines
These Guidelines form part of the Terms and Conditions of Use for The Secrets of Decoupage App. They should be read together with the Terms and Conditions of Use, Privacy Policy, Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy, Child Safety Standards, Account and Data Deletion Policy, Subscription Terms, Credits Policy and any rules shown in the App.
By creating, uploading, posting, commenting, reacting, reporting, messaging or otherwise participating in community features, the user agrees to follow these Guidelines.
2. Scope of the Community Features
These Guidelines apply to all areas of the App where users may create, upload, submit, display, send, react to or interact with content. This includes project galleries, posts, comments, groups, challenges, profiles, usernames, profile images, captions, private or direct messaging if available, reports, reviews, competition entries and any other community or user-generated content feature.
The App is a creative craft and decoupage community. Community features must be used for lawful, respectful, craft-related and community-appropriate purposes.
3. Minimum Age and Account Responsibility
The App is intended for users aged 16 or over. Users under 16 must not use the community features, upload content, post comments, participate in groups or challenges, send messages or create a public community profile.
Users are responsible for all activity under their account. Accounts must not be shared, sold, transferred or used to impersonate another person, business or community member.
4. Core Community Principles
The Secrets of Decoupage community is intended to be friendly, practical, creative and respectful. Users are expected to treat others as real people, including beginners, experienced makers, customers, team members and moderators.
Users should share projects, ask questions, give constructive feedback, help others learn, celebrate creative work and keep discussions relevant to decoupage, crafting, products, techniques, inspiration, tutorials, challenges and related creative subjects.
Disagreement is allowed. Abuse is not. Strong opinions about techniques, products or styles must not become personal attacks, harassment, humiliation, bullying or targeted hostility.
5. What Users May Post
| Allowed | Not allowed |
|---|---|
| Photos of your own finished or work-in-progress craft projects | Photos copied from another maker, store, website, marketplace or social media account without permission |
| Questions about decoupage techniques, surfaces, glue, sizing, rice paper, tutorials or beginner help | Posts intended to harass, shame, mock, pressure or target another user |
| Constructive feedback and practical advice | Insults, personal attacks, bullying, hate speech, threats or intimidation |
| Project entries for challenges, if they follow the challenge rules | Manipulating votes, likes, challenge entries, reviews or community rankings |
| Relevant product questions or creative recommendations | Spam, scams, unrelated promotions, misleading links or repetitive commercial posts |
6. User Content Ownership and Permissions
Users must only upload content that they own or have full permission to use. This includes photos, project images, written captions, comments, profile images, screenshots, designs and any other material submitted to the App.
By uploading content, the user confirms that the content does not infringe copyright, trade marks, design rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, image rights, contractual rights or any other rights of another person or organisation.
Users must not claim another person's work as their own. If the user is inspired by another maker, the user should be honest and should not copy or misrepresent the original work.
7. Intellectual Property and Protected Characters
Users must respect intellectual property rights. The App is not a place to share, request, copy, distribute or trade protected designs, pirated files, scans, reprints or unauthorised copies of artwork.
Users must not upload content that unlawfully uses third-party copyrighted characters, logos, trade marks, celebrity images, brand names, film or cartoon characters, sports logos, game artwork, book illustrations, music artwork or other protected material unless the user has the legal right to do so.
Users must not copy, scan, photograph, trace, recreate, redistribute, resell, upload or share The Secrets of Decoupage rice paper designs, VIP downloads, digital files, tutorials, images or member-only content except as expressly permitted by the applicable licence.
8. Photography, People and Privacy
Users should be careful when uploading photos. Photos may reveal personal information such as faces, homes, addresses, children, names, order details, documents, location, packaging labels or private messages.
- Users must not upload photos or content showing another person without that person's permission, particularly where the person is a child or the image is private, sensitive, embarrassing or not relevant to the project
- Users must not post another person's address, email address, phone number, order information, payment information, private messages, medical details, family information or other private data
- Users should crop or cover shipping labels, invoices, receipts, personal documents and background details before uploading images
9. Safety, Child Protection and Illegal Content
ARAMEDU LTD has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material, child sexual exploitation, grooming, sexualised content involving minors or any conduct that endangers children.
Users must not upload, request, describe, promote, link to, joke about, encourage, normalise or facilitate child sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, grooming, trafficking, abuse, coercion or any sexualised content involving minors.
Users must not post content that promotes self-harm, suicide, serious violence, terrorism, criminal conduct, dangerous instructions, weapons misuse, abuse of animals, illegal drugs or other unlawful or harmful activity.
We may immediately remove content, suspend accounts, preserve relevant information and report serious safety or child protection concerns to appropriate authorities, hotlines, platforms or law enforcement where legally appropriate.
10. Harassment, Hate and Abusive Conduct
Users must not harass, threaten, bully, intimidate, shame, stalk, exploit, target or abuse another user, customer, maker, moderator, team member, business or group.
Users must not post hate speech, slurs, dehumanising language, discriminatory content or content attacking people based on protected or personal characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or serious medical condition.
Users must not use coded language, memes, images, jokes or indirect references to bypass these rules.
11. Spam, Scams and Commercial Activity
Community features must not be used for spam, scams, phishing, malware, deceptive links, fake giveaways, fraudulent offers or unrelated commercial promotions.
Users must not repeatedly promote external shops, groups, pages, affiliate links, competing products, files, courses or services without permission from ARAMEDU LTD. The App must not be used as an unauthorised advertising platform, marketplace, lead generation tool or sales funnel for unrelated businesses.
12. Challenges, Competitions and Featured Projects
Users entering a challenge must comply with the challenge rules shown in the App, these Guidelines and the Terms and Conditions of Use. Users must not manipulate challenge entries, voting, likes, comments, reactions, rankings, badges, credits, rewards or featured project selection.
ARAMEDU LTD may remove entries, disqualify users, withhold rewards, cancel challenges or change challenge rules where reasonably necessary for fairness, safety, legal compliance, technical reasons or abuse prevention.
Being featured in the App, newsletter, social media, website or promotional material is not guaranteed and may be changed, removed or declined at our discretion.
13. Use of Community Content by ARAMEDU LTD
When users upload project photos, comments or other content to public community areas, they grant ARAMEDU LTD permission to display, host, moderate, format, crop for layout, feature and promote that content in connection with The Secrets of Decoupage App and brand, as described in the Terms and Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy.
ARAMEDU LTD will not sell a user's original project photo as a standalone digital product. However, public community content may be used to promote the App, the brand, the community, challenges, tutorials, products or membership benefits.
14. Reporting Content and Users
Users should report content or behaviour that they believe breaches these Guidelines, the Terms and Conditions of Use, child safety rules, intellectual property rights, privacy rights or applicable law. Reports may be submitted through in-app reporting tools where available or by contacting ARAMEDU LTD at aramedultd@gmail.com.
Submitting false, abusive, malicious or repetitive reports may itself breach these Guidelines. Reports should be made in good faith.
15. Blocking Users and Personal Safety Controls
Where the App provides a blocking function, users may block another user to limit unwanted contact or interaction. Blocking a user does not necessarily remove previously published public content or replace reporting. Users should report serious abuse, safety concerns, infringement or unlawful content to ARAMEDU LTD.
Users must not use new accounts or alternative accounts to contact someone who has blocked them or to bypass restrictions.
16. Moderation and Enforcement
ARAMEDU LTD may moderate the community manually, automatically, reactively or proactively. Moderation actions may include:
- Warning the user
- Editing or hiding content for formatting or safety
- Removing content
- Restricting comments, uploads or messages
- Removing a user from a group or challenge
- Removing badges or featured status
- Withholding rewards or cancelling credits
- Suspending or terminating an account
- Preserving evidence and reporting serious matters to authorities
ARAMEDU LTD is not obliged to publish, maintain, restore, feature or explain the removal of any user content where doing so could create safety, legal, privacy, security, enforcement or platform compliance concerns.
17. Appeals and Review Requests
Where a user believes that content or an account has been restricted in error, the user may contact ARAMEDU LTD at aramedultd@gmail.com and provide relevant details. Submission of a review request does not guarantee that content will be restored, that an account will be reinstated, or that credits, rewards, benefits or subscriptions will be reinstated.
18. Repeat Breaches and Serious Breaches
Repeat breaches may result in stronger enforcement action, including permanent removal from community features or termination of the user's account.
Serious breaches may result in immediate action without prior warning. Serious breaches include child safety issues, sexual exploitation, threats, doxing, hate, serious harassment, fraud, scams, malware, intellectual property infringement, unauthorised sharing of The Secrets of Decoupage content, evasion of restrictions, or any conduct that creates legal, safety, platform or reputational risk.
19. Relationship with Law and Platform Rules
These Guidelines apply globally. Users are responsible for complying with the laws of their own country, state, province or territory when using the App. Nothing in these Guidelines limits any mandatory rights that users may have under applicable consumer, privacy, data protection or platform laws.
20. Changes to these Guidelines
ARAMEDU LTD may update these Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in the App, community features, safety risks, legal requirements, platform requirements, business operations or moderation practices. Continued use of community features after updated Guidelines take effect means that the user agrees to follow the updated Guidelines.
