Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping & Delivery

Q: Are you offering free shipping?
A: Yes! We offer free shipping on all orders over £53, whether you're in the UK, Europe, the USA, Australia, or anywhere else in the world. The free shipping option appears automatically at checkout once your order reaches £53. Just make sure it's selected before you complete your purchase.

Q: How long will I have to wait for my order?
A: We dispatch all orders via Royal Mail within 1 to 3 business days. Estimated delivery times:

  • UK: usually 3 to 7 business days
  • Europe: usually 8 to 18 business days
  • USA & Canada: usually 8 to 18 business days (most arrive in 8 to 12 days)
  • Australia & New Zealand: usually 10 to 18 business days
  • Rest of the world: up to 18 business days

Q: How long before my order is dispatched?
A: We prepare and dispatch all orders within 1 to 3 business days of receiving your payment. You will receive a shipping confirmation email once your order is on its way.

Q: Why doesn't my order come with tracking?
A: Standard shipping via Royal Mail does not include tracking, and this is intentional. Tracked shipping costs approximately 3 times more, and we don't want to pass that cost on to you unnecessarily. The vast majority of our orders, 99.99%, arrive safely without tracking. Not having a tracking number does not make your parcel less safe or slower.

Q: Can I get tracking on my order?
A: Yes! Tracked international delivery is available as an option at checkout for £11.99, simply select it if you'd like to follow your parcel's journey. For orders over £80, we automatically cover the cost of tracking for you.

Q: What if my order doesn't arrive?
A: In the very rare case that your parcel doesn't arrive, please contact us and we will send a free replacement at our cost, no questions asked. We stand behind every order we send.

Q: Where do you ship from?
A: All orders are packed and shipped directly from the United Kingdom. We do not dropship from China or any other country. You are buying from a UK-based team that handles every order personally.

Q: Do you ship worldwide?
A: Yes, we ship to customers across Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, Asia, Africa, and beyond. If you're unsure whether we deliver to your country, feel free to contact us.

Q: Will I need to pay customs duties or tariffs?
A: No. We cover all customs duties and charges on our side. You won't be asked to pay anything extra upon delivery, regardless of your country.

Q: Will the new US customs rules affect my order?
A: Not at all. Even though the US has changed its customs rules, this does not affect our customers. We handle all customs paperwork and cover duties in advance, so your order moves through customs smoothly. Delivery times remain the same: usually 8 to 18 business days.

Our Papers

Q: What type of paper do you sell?
A: We specialise in premium decoupage rice paper, ultra-thin, translucent paper designed to blend seamlessly onto any surface. Our papers are printed with vivid, true-to-photo colours and are suitable for wood, glass, ceramics, fabric, canvas, and more.

Q: How are your papers printed? Are they printed at home?
A: Absolutely not. We never print on home or desktop printers. Every single paper is produced in a professional printing studio using laser-quality printing technology. This ensures consistent, vivid colours, sharp detail, and a finish that home printing simply cannot match. Quality is non-negotiable for us, it's what sets our papers apart.

Q: Can I use your rice papers to decorate cakes or food?
A: No, our rice papers are not edible and must not be used on food or cakes. They are printed with non-food-safe inks and are designed exclusively for craft and decoupage projects on non-food surfaces such as wood, glass, ceramics, and fabric. For cake decorating, please use specialist edible rice paper printed with food-safe inks, available from cake decorating suppliers.

Q: What glue should I use with your rice papers?
A: Most decoupage glues and mediums work beautifully with our papers, including Mod Podge, decoupage varnish, and acrylic mediums. The one glue we do not recommend is standard PVA glue, as it causes the paper to delaminate and peel off once dry. It does not bond properly with rice paper. For best results, always use a dedicated decoupage medium.

Q: What sizes are the papers available in?
A: Our papers are available in multiple sizes to suit every project:

  • A4 (21 x 29.7 cm / 8.3 x 11.7 in), the most popular size, perfect for most projects
  • A3 (29.7 x 42 cm / 11.7 x 16.5 in), ideal for larger surfaces
  • A5 (14.8 x 21 cm / 5.8 x 8.3 in), great for smaller items and cards
  • Greeting card size, perfect for handmade cards and small crafts

Check the individual product listing to see which sizes are available for each design.

Q: How thin is the paper?
A: Our rice papers are extremely thin and translucent, which is what makes them so easy to apply without visible edges. The thinness allows the paper to melt into the surface when medium is applied, creating a professional, seamless finish.

Q: Will the colours look the same as on screen?
A: We print to the highest standards and our colours are as true-to-photo as possible. Monitor calibration can affect how colours appear on screen, but our customers consistently tell us the papers look even better in person.

Q: Can I use your papers on curved surfaces?
A: Yes! Because our rice papers are so thin and flexible, they conform beautifully to curved surfaces such as vases, bottles, bowls, and furniture legs. Simply tear (don't cut) the edges for a seamless blend.

Q: Can I use your papers on fabric or clothing?
A: Yes, our rice papers can be used on fabric using a suitable textile decoupage medium or fabric glue. They work particularly well on canvas bags, cushion covers, and other flat fabric surfaces. We recommend testing on a small piece of fabric first and sealing well for durability.

Q: Is the paper waterproof before sealing?
A: No, rice paper is not waterproof on its own. Once applied and sealed with a good quality varnish or decoupage medium, your project becomes much more resistant to moisture. For outdoor projects or items that may get wet, we recommend at least 3 coats of a waterproof sealer.

Q: How should I store my rice papers?
A: Store your papers flat, in a dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Avoid folding or rolling them if possible, as this can cause creases. Kept in the right conditions, your papers will stay in perfect condition for years.

Q: How many sheets do I need for a project?
A: It depends on the size of your project and the design. For most small to medium projects (a box, a tray, a small piece of furniture), 1 to 2 sheets is usually enough. For larger pieces, you may need more. If you're unsure, feel free to contact us and we'll help you estimate.

Q: Can I order a custom design?
A: We currently do not offer custom or personalised designs. All our papers are from our own curated collection, with hundreds of designs to choose from and new ones added regularly. If you're looking for something specific, feel free to contact us and we'll do our best to point you in the right direction.

Orders, Returns & Loyalty

Q: Do you have a loyalty programme?
A: Yes! We have a loyalty programme that rewards you for every purchase. You earn points with every order, which you can redeem for discounts on future purchases. Visit our Loyalty Programme page to find out more and sign up.

Q: Can I use the papers for commercial projects?
A: Yes, any paper purchased from us can be used for commercial projects. You are free to use our designs in work that you sell, whether that's furniture, gifts, home decor, or anything else.

Q: What is your returns policy?
A: We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If there is a problem with your order, such as damaged, incorrect, or missing items, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order and we will make it right. Please see our Returns Policy page for full details.

Q: Can I cancel or change my order?
A: We process orders quickly, but if you need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order. We will do our best to accommodate changes before dispatch.

Q: Do you offer wholesale or bulk pricing?
A: Yes, we work with craft shops, studios, and resellers. If you're interested in wholesale pricing, please contact us directly and we'll be happy to discuss options.

Learning & Inspiration

Q: I'm new to decoupage, where do I start?
A: Welcome to the craft! We recommend starting with a flat surface like a wooden box or a picture frame, a good decoupage medium (not PVA!), and one of our A4 rice papers. Tear, don't cut, the edges for a seamless look, apply a thin layer of medium to the surface, lay the paper, smooth out any bubbles, and seal with 2 to 3 more coats. To help you get started, we have created a comprehensive eBook guide covering everything from basic techniques to professional finishes, available in our shop. We are also currently working on full video courses for crafters of all levels, coming soon! In the meantime, check out our video page for inspiration and tips from real customers.

Q: Do you have any tutorials or guides?
A: Yes! We have a detailed eBook available in our shop that walks you through the art of decoupage step by step, from choosing the right paper and medium to achieving a flawless professional finish. We are also developing video courses for all skill levels, coming soon. Stay tuned!

Q: I still have a question, how can I contact you?
A: We'd love to hear from you! Visit our Contact page and send us a message. We typically respond within 1 to 2 business days.
